Education based on Islamic faith

New Horizon School Westside fosters an American Muslim identity that is deeply rooted in Islamic faith. We impart values and practices to nurture their faith alongside academic learning.

Religious Curriculum

The Qur’anic studies program consists of the study, memorization, recitation, and reading of the Qur’an. We emphasize an understanding of the Qur’an, which will serve as guidance in the lives of students.

Students learn about the of the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and recognize his significance to Muslims and the world. They learn about the lives of other Prophets and analyze their stories for important lessons. Students are also introduced to Islamic History and Civilization, and learn about Muslims in the contemporary world.

Values in Action

Learning about Islamic faith and culture goes beyond the classroom. Students regularly participate in community outreach, field trips, and Ramadan and Hajj events to put the values they have learned into practice.
